Project Background:
HIIT Science is an online education company. Their team of sport scientists consists of experts in high-intensity interval training. They come from a variety of sport and academic backgrounds but all have one thing in common – the desire to maximize human performance and share knowledge.
Challenge:
The team at HIIT Science initially came to us looking for a website refresh. After a web audit, we identified the primary challenge was actually communicating their value and values online. The old brand felt dated and amateur which led to a web presence that failed to communicate their immense amount of experience and expertise as leading sport scientists from around the globe.
Solution and Implementation:
We started with brand strategy sessions to uncover their “why”, target audience, brand attributes and unique offering.
Once we had this solid foundation to work from, we developed the rest of the visual identity and designed a responsive website with the following key features:
- clear course offerings
- a newsletter sign-up
- a blog and podcast
- contact form
A new brand and website, designed to showcase their expertise.
The web design process helped us discover some previously confusing course information (or lack of course information) on the original website. We took this information and created clear course categories and developed a list of what was and wasn’t included in each to guide potential students in their course purchasing decisions.
To help quickly communicate credibility, we placed logo bars that showcase the groups already using HIIT Science courses as well as the logos of the NSCA, BASES, USA Triathlon and ESSA that the courses are accredited by. Their target audience of strength & conditioning coaches will immediately recognize the logos of their governing bodies and assign additional value & credibility to the course.
Responsive Website Design
On average, over 50% of users are accesing websites on their phones. Therefore, designing the site for mobile users was extremely important. Because there are endless screen sizes and devices, each page was optimized to respond accordingly.
